1. Registration fee payment before abstract acceptance is a burden for students, if abstract didn’t get accepted? +

All the submitted abstracts with research outcomes will be accepted and only the mode of presentation will be informed later.

2. Virtual presentations will get certificate or not? +

All the students who will present virtually will get certificate as “Rapid virtual oral presentation”. Which will be helpful for the students to claim as virtual oral presentation.

3. Travel grants will be given to the students who are not getting any fellowship? +

As many of the students are getting fellowships from state government and in many cases, it is less than Rs.10,000/-. So, all the students getting fellowship less than Rs.10,000/- can also apply for the travel grants with valid proofs.

4. Accommodation given for how many days? +

Accommodation will be given from 14th evening to 18th morning (4 days). Pre-booking to be done, as early as possible.

5. Will abstracts based on review articles be accepted? +

No, Only the abstracts based on research and with valuable outcomes will be considered for presentation.

6. Registration cost is high? +

The registration cost includes the conclave kits and three days food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). So, the registration fee is fixed at nominal charges after discussion with the organizing committee at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi and AAU, Jorhat, Assam.

7. Whether participation certificate will be given to registered candidates? +

The certificates will be issued to students submitting the abstract and presenting either poster or oral presentations. Mere registration will not be considered as participation and certificates may not be issued in such cases.

8. Masters students who have completed their post-graduation degree and waiting for Ph.D enrollment can apply? +

Yes, you can apply for both the conference and travel grants. With condition that, you provide a written undertaking that, you have completed your M.Sc and waiting for Ph.D admission. (Self-attested copy of the undertaking has to be submitted online.)

9. Whether accommodation will be arranged to all? +

No, the accommodation will be arranged for 250 students on first come, first serve basis. Pre-booking to be done as quick as possible.

10. It is difficult to travel to Jorhat? +

No, Jorhat is well connected with Rail, Road and Air. You can pre-book your tickets for easy travel and also consider virtual presentation if not able to travel.
